The team at SMS Sportsmedizin Berlin is serious about their work. Most of them hold PhD degrees and they represent the official medical team to the BMW Berlin marathon. They saw MotionMetrix at the Berlin Marathon Expo and liked what they saw. But before they decided to purchase a system for their lab, they put it to the test against their Kistler Gaitway System which is an advanced treadmill with a built in force plate. After 20 runners and assessment of ground reaction forces, contact times, stride frequencies etc they were satified with MotionMetrix’s performance and purchased a system. The result is a very important milestone for MotionMeterix – it evidences that our calculation of the ground reaction force from motion data is accurate. MotionMetrix and SMS have now established a collaboration in the field of Sports medicine.
